How settlements work
A settlement sets out who is covered and what benefits may be available. Some programs require a claim form; others identify eligible people from existing records. Approval and payment follow the program's rules, and a payment can take months.
How to check your eligibility
Match the exact product or service, purchase or account dates, and covered locations. Read exclusions as carefully as the main class definition. No receipt required does not mean anyone can claim: you may still need to identify purchases or certify that your answers are true.
Is filing free?
Use the fee information in the official notice. For FTC refunds, never pay someone who says you must send money to receive your refund. A separate attorney inquiry is different from filing an administrator's settlement claim and may have its own agreement.
